Ryan Heckel, Data Analyst

Ryan Heckel is the Data Analyst for New Frontier Data, where he applies his understanding of international economic and industrial policy towards relevant political and economic changes that effect the emerging cannabis industry.  Recently, Heckel worked with The National Committee on North Korea conducting work on Chinese – North Korea relations with a focus on measuring FDI, trade, and labor flows within the region. Heckel brings with him a wide range of experience including working at the Central University of Finance and Economics as an Adjunct English Teacher in Beijing, China as well at Asian Art Works as a Gallery Assistant in Beijing’s 798 Arts District.

Heckel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Arizona State University in Tempe Arizona, a Masters Certificate in Chinese Studies from Johns Hopkins – Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies in Nanjing China, and a Master of Arts in International Economics and International Development from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
