Washington Cannabis Enforcement: Most Common Violations
As legal cannabis markets have expanded, more states are moving toward greater regulation of their cannabis industry with strict compliance requirements.
In Washington, the largest number of regulatory violations in 2015 involved failure to use or adequately maintain the required traceability system. This is of particular concern to regulators because the traceability system is an important tool to help reduce product diversion. Other key violation areas included allowing minors access to the facility, failure to maintain adequate security systems, and violations of the advertising guidelines.
