DC Cannabis Activists Hold Epic Cannabis Giveaway on Inauguration Day
On inauguration day, DCMJ, the cannabis legalization advocacy group that successfully advanced Washington DC’s legalization campaign, organized #Trump420, a rally in support of cannabis legalization. The group gathered in Washington D.C.’s historic Dupont Circle where they handed out an estimated 10,000 free joints to attendees, before marching down to the National Mall to watch the President’s inaugural address.
At 4 minutes 20 seconds into Trump’s speech, the small group that made it down to the mall lit their joints, pipes and vaporizers, sending plumes of cannabis smoke into the drizzling sky. Despite extremely heavy security, the police and federal security services left the group alone, contributing to a celebratory air among attendees.
